75th Cannes Film Festival 2022 Live Updates: At the Cannes 2022 red carpet, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan glittered in a pastel-pink gown, while Deepika Padukone opted for a red gown and looked chic. The stars attended the premiere of Armageddon Time. Hina Khan too walked the Cannes 2022 red carpet.

R Madhavan’s directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect also had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Market on Thursday.

The Cannes 2022 kick-started on May 17, with an impressive Indian contingent joining the festivities. India has been chosen as the first ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche du Cinema this year. While actor Deepika Padukone is on jury duty this year, AR Rahman, R Madhavan, Shekhar Kapur, Mame Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tamannaah Bhatia and Pooja Hegde, among others, are a part of Indian delegation led by I&B minister Anurag Thakur.

Cannes regular Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also seen at the Cannes red carpet on Wednesday. Dressed in a floral black gown, the actor walked the red carpet ahead of the screening of Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick.

Former Punjab Congress chief  Navjot Singh Sidhu  is likely to surrender before the Patiala police on Friday afternoon. The Supreme Court orders, according to the police officials, will first be received by the Punjab and Haryana High Court from where the same will be forwarded to the district and sessions court in Patiala. The orders will be endorsed to the police officer concerned. Delhi News Update: Special CBI court awards death penalty to main accused Surinder Koli in Nithari killings

The main accused in the Nithari killings, Surinder Koli,   was awarded the death penalty by a special CBI court in Ghaziabad.   The court announced the death sentence in connection with murder charges against the accused. The judge also awarded seven years’ imprisonment to his employer Moninder Singh Pandher in the case, besides a fine of Rs 62,000 on Koli and Rs 4,000 on Pandher, officials said. The sensational killings came to light after the Noida police found human remains in a drain behind the accused’s house sixteen years ago. Accused Koli and Pandher are currently incarcerated for rape and murder of multiple persons. A signboard of Aurangzeb Lane in Lutyens’ Delhi  was defaced on Thursday  by the Delhi  BJP  Yuva Morcha, which pasted a banner that read ‘Baba Vishwanath Marg’ over it.
